Sun, rain, sun, rain – that’s been the month of May in 2021. Met Eireann tell us that it’s back to sun tomorrow (Saturday) ☀️☀️☀️ with temperatures hitting 22°C. So, enjoy but be careful and please make sure you’ve got sunscreen on.
This post is addressed to all readers and it doesn’t matter where you are on your weight loss journey:
- Starting out – it’s good to understand the importance of patience and to be aware of the fantastic changes that are starting to happen.
- Well on the way – a reminder of how far you’ve come and the positive changes that you have made.
- On maintenance – a timely reminder of what you did to turn your life around and how great you feel today.
- Thinking about it – unless you change how you are, you will always have what you’ve got.
There is a natural eagerness to want to get to one’s target weight as soon as possible. Losing weight is only one side of the coin. On the other, we must also change those habits that led to your overeating; those habits that are at the root cause of you being overweight.
‘This month’s choices are next month’s body‘ is a great quote. Our choices are those foods and also how we go about our daily routines – the habits and behaviours. What you put in, both physically and emotionally, is what you get out.
‘I am patient with my body as it learns new habits‘ is also a great quote. The patience is rewarded with long-lasting weight loss. We work with you on your habits through your Mental Weight report and over time, your reward is the change from reds to blues; from negative, self-sabotaging habits and behaviours to habits and behaviours that are positive, encouraging, supportive and life-changing.
It can sound cliched but it’s not: my job is so rewarding. I get to share in so many journeys where clients report back that the weight loss is fantastic but the other life-changing apsects make it all so worthwhile. Just listen to any of the podcasts – I’ve posted a link below.
Before you leave – pause for 20 seconds – and repeat:
I am patient with my body as it learns new habits
I am patient with my body as it learns new habits
I am patient with my body as it learns new habits
I am patient with my body as it learns new habits
I am patient with my body as it learns new habits
Until next Friday, have a great weekend and keep up the good work.
