Thanks to the people of Cork for turning out for the 50 Plus Expo Cork in the Cork City Hall over the weekend. Despite the showery and cold conditions, large numbers attended the show and we were busy over the two days.
Big congratulations to Geraldine Mulcair from Carigrohane. Geraldine entered our draw and was the lucky winner of a Motivation Weight Management 10 week basic programme.
70 exhibitors were on show plus there was a series of talks and presentations ranging from fashion shows, cooking demo’s, health checks and talks – including diabetes, blood pressure, vision and hearing screenings, financial consumer advice with Charlie Weston from the Independent newspaper, gardening clinics with Peter Dowdall, genealogy workshops, valuations of notes, coins and stamps, exercise classes, hobbies and crafts workshops and retirement planning advice.
Next up is the Killarney 50 Plus Expo which is on May 7, 2017 in the Malton Hotel in Killarney. See you there!
